Dancing Classrooms North Texas is currently ON HOLD for hiring dancers to teach ballroom dance in DFW school systems. Due to the budgetary issues within Texas Public Schools, we are awaiting district budgets and grant funding to ensure our need for additional teaching artists. Please continue checking our website for the lastest details.

We teach 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as part of an outreach program in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlignton and Hurst Euless Bedford. As seen in the documentary film Mad Hot Ballroom, Dancing Classrooms North Texas is an in-school residency for every child, regardless of background or experience. Applicants do not need previous ballroom experience. Training provided.

New DCNT Teaching Artists are trained by Pierre Dulaine Licensed Senior Teaching Artists who have been with the program since the pilot in 2006. Our selection of Teaching Artists comes first from auditions and second from call backs throughout training dates.

There is a $15 registration fee for training (this will be payable after selected from auditions).  

We are always in high need of artists from the South Dallas area (Oak Cliff, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Desoto, Red Oak, Ovilla, etc) to teach in our southern sector. In addition, we have experience a high growth in our FWISD schools, making a great need for Fort Worth teachers.  Recruits do not have to be dancers; our teaching artists come from a rich background of experience ranging from professional to amateur dancers, yoga instructors, former PE teachers, education, actors/actresses, fitness instructors, etc…  Please help us spread the word!
